    Thank you for visiting the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Community Education Department website! 

    The Fall 2016 brochure is currently available by mail and has been placed at various public sites throughout the parish.  The brochure is also available thru the link at the bottom of this page.

    To speak to a Community Education department representative please phone the office at the number listed at the top of the webpage. Office hours are Mondays thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our classes are available to all residents of St. Charles Parish and surrounding parishes. You can request a brochure or registration form be sent to you by contacting our office.

    Pre-registration is required for all Community Education classes. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. If you are interested in teaching in our program please complete the form at the bottom of this web page, Instructor Recruitment. Return the completed form to our office by mail or email.

    Mission Statement

    Our mission is to offer community members lifelong learning opportunities, utilizing community schools as leaning sites by providing interesting, satisfying and challenging classes for people of all ages.

    Vision Statement

    Community Education, the educational philosophy that underlies community schools, advocates the creation of opportunities for community members – individuals, schools, businesses, and public and private organizations – to become partners in addressing community needs. Community education is most easily recognized in the community school, a facility that is open beyond the traditional school day for the purpose of providing academic, recreational, health, social services, and work preparation programs for people of all ages.
