• 2019 AP Scholars

    The following information was released by College Board regarding Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards for testing in May, 2019.

    An AP Scholar is a student who receives scores of three (3) or higher on three or more AP exams .This distinction is held by 28 DHS students: Chrystell Adams, Heaven Benedict, Juliana Berger, Jonee Bergeron, Hayden Brass, Ian Carbo, Delaney Carson, Kader Dunn, Luz Escobar, Jacob Fernandez, Heidi Garcia, Bryce Gough, Yasmeen Hamed, Corrinn Hovis, Jakeem James, Laurel Kennedy, Lance Kraft, Celeste Landry, KaraLeigh Loya, Stephanie Mayberry, Timothy McReynolds, Keith Mitchell, Shelby Nelson, Aidan Oddlokken, Naomi Perry, Keva Peters, Brooke Sarro, and Angelina Wood.

    The title of AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams, and scores of three (3) or higher on four or more exams. This distinction is held by 11 DHS students: Vionnye Alexander, Cayla Dent, Jonathan Elias, Camryn Frangella, Brandon Hebert, Clayton James, Emma Lassalle, Linda Plasse, Caroline Schexnaydre, Grace Smith, and Kaci Waguespack.

    The designation of AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores three or higher on five or more of these exams. This distinction is held by 15 DHS Students:  Gabrielle Abate, Khairi Appleberry, Madisyn Arnold, Elliot Burns, Lindsey Crouchet, Rachel Duffy, Shelby Easley, Connor Fisk, Daniel Floyd, Thomas Floyd, John Frazier, Ethan Headings, Noelle Kelley, Sophia Matylis, and Judah Wolf.

    The title of National AP Scholar is awarded to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least four (4) on all AP exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. This distinction is held by 3 DHS students: Madisyn Arnold, Conner Fisk, and Judah Wolf. 

    The AP International Diploma is awarded to students who display exceptional achievement across a variety of disciplines. This distinction is held by KaraLeigh Loya.
