• Good Evening Parents/Guardians and 2020 Graduates,

Destrehan High School along with the Pontchartrain Center are happy to announce that the final preparations for the Destrehan High School Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony are in the final stages.  As previously stated, since Louisiana is in Phase II of reopening, all graduates will receive 2 tickets to the graduation ceremony.  All guests including infants and children must have a ticket to enter.  In keeping with the guidelines set by the CDC, the Pontchartrain Center has determined that Destrehan High School must hold two graduation ceremonies in order to comply with social distancing.  Each ceremony will be on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the morning.

The first ceremony will begin at 8:00am for advanced studies students and last names starting with A – H.  Doors will open at 7:00 am for both graduates and guests.

The second ceremony will begin at 11:00 am for the names starting with J – Z.  Doors will open at 10:00 am for both graduates and guests.

In order to adhere to the guidelines set by Jefferson Parish and the Pontchartrain Center, all graduates and guests will have their temperature checked upon entering and must wear a mask at all times.  Procedures for graduates and guests will be given to the graduates at graduation practice and posted on the Destrehan High School website.

As always, Destrehan High School will be live streaming the 2020 Graduation Ceremony for all family and friends unable to attend the ceremony.  Information on how to view the ceremony will be placed on the Destrehan High School website.

Destrehan High School will hold 4 graduation practices on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm.  During practice graduates will receive graduation gowns, tickets, cords and stoles.
