At home there are some resources to help your student be successful in 7th grade math.
- The first is utilizing some videos from Eureka Math itself. They have videos for just about every lesson, you may find the lesson videos by using the lesson numbers which can be found on our weekly agendas. To access these videos, head to digital.greatminds.org and have your student sign in with Google.
- Another resource that I utilize a lot in my classroom to provide extra practice is quizizz. I make them for each topic and post them on Google classroom before quizzes and tests. The great thing about quizizz is that at the end you can see what questions you got wrong and what the correct answers were. I also have access to this so I can help students with topics specifically.
- Khan Academy is a great resource for your student to watch videos or to get extra practice. The topics that we will cover are very foundational, so it is a great time for you to access these resources for extra practice. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/7th-engage-ny
- The next thing I have found as a resource for students are some vocabulary quizlets to review for our first modules:
- The next website is a practice problem website called Math IXL. https://www.ixl.com/ This is a website that allows students to enter specific topics to practice. It only allows 10 questions until it prompts you to purchase. You do not have to purchase anything. It may be better for him/her to only do 10 questions each day on particular topics he/she needs help understanding.
I hope that with a little extra practice and some teamwork we can help students feel more successful and confident. Please continue to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
