• Dear Parents and Stakeholders,

The arts provide opportunities to connect with one another through shared, transcendent experiences.  The current global situation of the COVID-19 pandemic drastically limits the traditional rehearsal and performance capabilities of our arts programs.  With respect to manageable and productive rehearsal timelines for our programs and with an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our performers and audience members, the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Arts Leadership Team has devised an Arts Program Contingency Plan outlined below.

The well-being of our students, community, and school programs remain a top priority. We will continue to monitor federal, state, and local health authorities for direction on performances, exhibitions, and audience gatherings. Arts teachers will collaborate with colleagues and students to explore engaging and thoughtful means of expression and artistry. The Arts Leadership Team will continue to assess this ever-changing situation to determine the best possible time to return to traditional, audience-integrated performance opportunities.

These are challenging times for many. We firmly believe in the importance of bringing people together as a source of community, entertainment, and to encourage thought-provoking conversations. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing these artistic experiences again soon.
