Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Blanca Lopez. I am certified by the State of Louisiana to teach Spanish at a high school level. This is my second year at Destrehan High school but I have twelve years of experience as a Spanish teacher in the United States. I am beyond excited for this new school year in my career as part of the Wildcats family.

My goal is to encourage students to actively engage in the learning of the Spanish language. We will continue using Google Classroom which provides teachers and students with different tools to fascilitate the learning process. Most of the communication/assignments/course information/announcements will be posted in Google Classroom.
