Welcome to Liracy. My name is Allison Swayze and this is my 19th year of teaching and my 10th year at Lakewood School. I taught 10 years as a 3rd grade teacher and this is my 9th year as an Upper Literacy Teacher. I service a select group of 3rd grade students who need extra support in fluency and or comprehension. Reading daily with your child is an essential part of building fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Please set aside at least 20 minutes of reading each day. There are so many genres of books, find one that interests your child and watch the love of reading flourish! I love how a book can take you on so many journeys to places you may never visit, or teach you something new!
