Due to uncertainties for Fall 2020, the Community Ed Fall 2020 semester is canceled. This is being done out of an abundance of caution to keep our community members safe and to eliminate unexpected cancellations, such as what happened during our Spring 2020 semester. The Community Ed Team will focus efforts on Spring 2021. In the next week or two, a survey link will be sent to Community Ed instructors and registrants. The information you provide on the survey will be valuable in planning for our Spring 2021 semester.
We appreciate your interest and participation in our program and apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused by canceling the fall semester. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Without it, we would not have a Community Education Program. If you have questions or concerns regarding Community Ed, please call 985-785-7268 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for supporting our program.
Our mission is to offer community members lifelong learning opportunities, utilizing community schools as learning sites by providing interesting, satisfying and challenging classes for people of all ages.
Community Education, the educational philosophy that underlies community schools, advocates the creation of opportunities for community members – individuals, schools, businesses, and public and private organizations – to become partners in addressing community needs. Community education is most easily recognized in the community school, a facility that is open beyond the traditional school day for the purpose of providing academic, recreational, health, social services, and work preparation programs for people of all ages.
