  • Thank you for visiting St. Charles Parish Public Schools Community Education Department web page! We are pleased to announce our Spring 2022 semester. Please click here for the Spring 2022 flyer and check out the impressive variety of classes like learning a new language, playing the piano or guitar, folk art, creating stained glass, acrylic and pen and ink watercolor painting, journaling, finance, health and wellness, photography and cookbook publishing. A copy of the spring flyer may also be picked at the St. Charles or St. John Parish libraries, St. Charles Parish School Board Office and various business locations in and around the parish.

    Class registration will begin Monday, January 31st, and continue through Friday, February 25.  The semester will begin on Thursday, March 3rd. A registration form may be obtained by clicking on the link below.  Please print and complete a separate registration form for each person registering for classes. However, payment for multiple registrations in the household does not have to be separate and may be combined in one payment if you wish. Please note that tuition must accompany registration, but payments will not be processed until your class is confirmed to be held.

    There will be no online registration this semester. The registration form(s) along with tuition payment by check or money order may be mailed to: Community Education Department, St. Charles Parish Public Schools, 13855 River Road, Luling, LA 70070, or placed in a sealed envelope marked Attention: Community Education and dropped off at the School Board Office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or deposited in the secure after-hours drop box located at the School Board Office entrance on the left side. (Due to vendor change, we are unable to accept Credit Card payments for the spring semester.) Cash payments are accepted and should only be dropped off at the School Board Office or deposited in the drop box and always placed in a sealed envelope marked Attention: Community Education.

    If you are interested in teaching in our program, click on the Instructor Recruitment link below and mail or email the completed form to the address or email on the form. A program coordinator will contact you to discuss your course.

    Community Education, the educational philosophy that underlies community schools, advocates the creation of opportunities for community members – individuals, schools, businesses, and public and private organizations – to become partners in addressing community needs. Community education is most easily recognized in the community school, a facility that is open beyond the traditional school day for the purpose of providing academic, recreational, health, social services, and work preparation programs for people of all ages.
