Our season is almost done!
Following an early season loss to E.D. White, the girls team earned consecutive wins over South Lafourche (5-0), South Terrebonne (5-0), and Assumption (3-2) in non-district action! The boys also lost their season opener to E.D. White, but bounced back with 3 straight convincing non-district wins over South Lafourche (5-0), South Terrebonne (5-0), and Assumption (4-1)!
The girls teams will finish district play as Runners-Up for the season! The girls completed season sweeps of Central Lafourche, Destrehan, and Terrebonne, with their only losses versus H.L. Bourgeois. The girls team has posted an impressive season with their overall record standing at 11-3 and district record at 7-2!
The boys teams earned the District Championship for the 3rd straight season! The boys completed season sweeps of Central Lafourche, Destrehan, H.L. Bourgeois, and Terrebonne, posting an impressive 13-1 overall record and 9-0 district record!
In JV action, the girls JV team hosted E.D. White early on, earning a 3-2 victory over the Cardinals! The JV teams traveled to Nicholls State University to take part in a doubles tournament on March 6. The teams of Ali Bran/Ellie Burns and Cole Butler/Donovan Dempster both advanced to the semifinals in their respective brackets, and the team of Brooklyn Perkins/Julie Williams advanced to the consolation finals.

Spectators attending HHS Tennis Matches should be aware of following these guidelines when choosing to attend:
-Facial coverings are to be worn appropriately at all times while on campus. Facial coverings should cover the nose and mouth.
-Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be maintained unless among members of the same household.
-Spectator access to the courts, team areas, and team members may be limited due to social distancing.
We understand some of these guidelines are not the norm nor ideal, but we hope to provide a safe environment for our players to compete in a full season by being cautious.
