Welcome to Liracy. My name is Allison Swayze and this is my 15 year teaching and my 6th year at Lakewood School. I taught 4 years as a 3rd grade teacher and this is my 2nd year as an Upper Literay Taecher. I service a select group of 3rd grade students who need extra support in fluency and or comprehension. Reariding daily with your child is an essential part of building fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Please set aside at least 20 minutes of reading each day. There are so many genres of books, find one that intrests your child and watch the love of reading flourish! I love how a book can take you on so many journeys to places you may never visit, or teach you something new!
