Mrs. D. Bridges

Welcome to a wonderful year of teaching and learning.  I am excited because this is my tenth year of teaching, and all of them have been in this wonderful parish of St. Charles at R. K. Smith Middle School.  I am ecstatic about this year. I am looking forward to teaching your scholars and helping them see success is intentional and possible. Our theme for this year is "Make it Happen ". That is what we intend to do by preparing scholars for the future. We are instilling in students that we are the best middle school in the country.  We will explore the world of ELA this year using guidebooks.  Our students are learning how to become productive citizens in the community and life.  #havingamindtowork.

This year, I will incorporate Google Classroom with our district provided Chromebooks for instruction. Google Classroom is a tool that allows me to post announcements and reminders for students. It also allows for class assignments and submissions to be posted and collected digitally. Google classroom is also a way that parents can monitor instruction and feedback for each class.

To access Google Classroom, please use the following link https://classroom.google.com/.  Students can use their assigned username and password to log in. Once logged in, you can review class announcements, assignments, and course information. You can also view Google Docs from the “Google Classroom” link on the left side of the menu.

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.
