Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Erin Robert, MSW
My name is Erin Robert and I am one of the counselors here at JB Martin Middle School. The counseling program at J.B. Martin Middle School is designed to assist students in making the most of his or her educational experience. As your child’s counselor, I am invested in his or her personal well-being, academic success and social development.
I earned a master’s degree in clinical social work from The Catholic University of America’s School of Social Work. I have my school social work license from the state of Virginia. I am working towards my clinical social work licensure as well as a master’s degree in counselor education.
Some services provided by the counseling department include, but are not limited to:
Individual and/or Group Counseling
Career Guidance (Explore Career Booklets, Interest Inventories, Career Games)
Classroom Guidance on various topics (Bullying, Respect, Test Anxiety, etc)
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the following services to your child or to parents:
Testifying in court in child-custody matters
Intensive long-term counseling services when they are needed by the child; I will however, refer the child and parent to an outside agency where they may receive further assistance.
I look forward to your child’s participation in the school counseling program this year. I am excited about working with you to help your child have a successful school experience. If you have any questions about the counseling program, please feel free to call me at (985) 785-7579.
There are many areas to the website that we know you will find great value in. Our goal for this site is to connect with parents and for students to use it as a learning tool and resource.
