Health is becoming such a priority in our lives right now. My goal this year more than ever is to give my student tools and options to become motivated towards bettering their health and activity level.

We all know when being active we usually gain perspective and energy in multple areas of our life. Also, when we strive to be healthier through better sleep, drinking more water, and making the best decisions we can make in our daily habits usually leads to a more productive day.

In our first week of school we have talked about challenging ourselves, trying, using the endophins we have to help us feel better, and we ran a MILE.

AT HOME LEARNING, I am challenging my students to be active. Find time to do things around the house to help out, do a short tabata workout, ride your bike, take your dog/cat for a walk, or even take on the challenge of a 30 minute home HIIT workout. I am providing two workouts each week that they can choose from on my google classroom. Once an activity is complete there is a home reflection on the classroom for them to tell me about their activity.

MOMENTUM IS KEY. Complacency always hurts us when we are trying to become more active! We will talk about keeping the momentum on the weekends too... Go wash the car, go to the park, stretch!!!! Keep that momentum when you are seeing change for the good! It does not always have to be a workout!

WOW I so look forward to helping you all get that momentum for you in your life! Thanks for visiting my teacher page!

Mrs. Erica Bonnette

Welcome to my Physical Education class. This is my 13th year teacher my 3rd year at Hahnville High School. I am looking forward to a great year and the personal growth we will experience in this course!

This year I will incorporate Google Classroom with our district provided Chromebooks. Google classroom is a tool that allows me to post announcements and reminders for students. It also allows for class assignments, materials, projects, and submissions to be posted and collected digitally.

To access Google Classroom please use the following link https://classroom.google.com/ and have your child log into their Google account. Once logged in, you can review class announcements, assignments and course information. You can also view Google Docs from the "Google Classroom" link on the side of the menu. I have provided the classroom code for each class period to join in the schedule on this welcome page.

I will be an assistant softball coach at Hahnville this 2020-21 school year. I have been a head coach at all levels including collegiate over the past 10 years and look forward to working at a place of excellence such as Hahnville.

If you have any concerns please email me and reach out to me at ebonnette@stcharles.k12.la.us.
