Welcome to my STEAM classes. This is my 7th year teaching and my 7th year at Harry Hurst Middle School. I will be working with your students for a semester at a time. This class should be fun and further develop student's computer skills, problem solving skills and provide opportunites for students to work with their peers. This class will also use hands on activities to introduce students to the many processes of science and engineering practices. I am looking forward to enriching your student's life in my class!

This year I will incorporate Google Classroom with our district provided Chromebooks. Google Classroom is a tool that allows me to post announcements and reminders for students. It also allows for class assignments and submissions to be posted and collected digitally.

To access Google Classroom please use the following link https://classroom.google.com/ and have your child log into their Google account. Once logged in, you can review class announcements, assignments and course information. You can also view Google Docs from the "Google Classroom" link on the left side of the menu. 

Students will also be enrolled in a program called PLTW. This is our course guide and curriculum for STEAM. Students in all grade levels will use the PLTW website and curriculum to complete this class. This year all grade levels will be completing different courses within this district mandated curriculum. 

In addition to google classroom and PLTW, students will be using many other websites to complete activities in class. All websites will be listed in google classroom with that day's assignment.
