What does Student Council mean to you?

Student Council at Destrehan High School is a term that refers to a group of individuals who are renowned for being positive additions to both their community and school-wide activities. It is a group of students that cooperatively work together and put forth a 110% effort in just everything that they do. Yes, it is hard work, and yes, it takes dedication and organization, but the friendships that are built along the way are priceless.

Student Council is a club made up of students from all grades 9-12. Student council hosts pep rallies, homecoming, sprit weeks, and dances. Student Council is also in charge of Pennies for Patients, Powder Puff, Prom and the Ring Ceremony. All students are elected by the student body and they all share interest in government.
