*UPDATED (as of April 24th)*

Welcome to Math Intervention. This is my 2nd year at Harry Hurst Middle School. I am excited to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I’m a proud Harry Hurst Middle School alumna with high energy and determination.

This year I am excited to incorporate Imagine Math, an online math program that adapts to your child’s level of math fluency. Parents can follow student progress in the Imagine Math Parent Portal.

I will post study materials, announcements, and reminders to Google Classroom. To access Google Classroom please use the following link and have your child log into his or her Google account.

Students need to bring a 2 inch binder to class. All other materials will be provided.

I am looking forward to a Hurstastic year!

Important Home Learning Information

Before the school closure, in Math Intervention, we worked on grade level content as well as prerequisite skills needed to be successful in grade level content. This played a major roll with student success in the classroom. The Imagine Math online program is tailored to meet students where they are and help build them to where they should be. It is very important for students to continue to use this program each week.

As a Math Intervention Department, we will be supporting math teachers and intervention students throughout the week. I will be joining the regular math teachers during their virtual sessions, attending their office hours, and viewing their lesson videos to help the Math Intervention students as they continue to learn new grade level content.

Math Intervetion students should be working in the Imagine Math program at least 3 times per week for 30 minutes each session.  I have “office time” on Mondays for students to meet me with questions or concerns. Phase III, implemented by the district, has added 30 minutes per day for enrichment time and Math Intervention falls under enrichment.

I miss working with all of my students and look forward to being able to meet virtually and or chat in our Google Classroom.

Let’s finish strong!
