Welcome to 8th Grade English Language Arts.  This is my 1st year teaching at Albert Cammon School.  I am looking forward to this year!

Now that we are engaging in "at-home" learning temporarily due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I would like to direct you to my Google Classroom for all updated information, assignments, and resources. Please check your child's Google Classroom daily. None of the assignments will be taken for a grade, they are simply provided to enrich your child's learning and allow them to practice skills already learned this year.

To access Google Classroom please use the following link and have your child log into their Google account. Once logged in, you can review class announcements, assignments and course information. You can also view Google Docs from the “Google Classroom” link on the left side of the menu.

All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom.

Parents: If you wish to be at added to your student's Google Classroom, please send me an email and I will invite you to the classroom.

Students: To further assist you during this unfamiliar time, I will be hosting Virtual Office Hours. These hours will be every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. These Virtual Office Hours will be held using Google Hangout.

    Tuesdays: 2 PM - 3 PM
    Wednesdays: 2 PM - 3 PM
    Thursdays: 2 PM - 3 PM

Oftentimes, teachers schedule time outside of class to meet with students. These are called office hours. I will be doing the same while we are out of school. Office hours are times when you can meet with me to discuss the material being presented in Google Classroom or other related interests you have. Course-related discussions include asking for extra help, seeking clarification of material, and following up on aspects of the material you find interesting. You are not required to meet with me the entire 2 hours. You can pop in for 5 minutes, or however long you need to express your questions and concerns. The link to Google Hangout can be found on our stream in Google Classroom.

Note: Please sign out of Google after you complete your work. Our system will still monitor activity if you are logged in to Google on your personal device.
