Bachelor's in Art and Science

Ms. Desiree Brunet

Welcome to my class. This is my 4th year teaching and my 3rd year at Hahnville High School. I am a 2017 graduate of Nicholls State University with a Bachelor's of Art and Science. I am looking forward to a great year of learning with your student as we explore exciting and challenging math concepts. I will teach Algebra II and Financial Literacy this year. If your student needs extra assistance, I tutor after school for the H.E.L.P program in both subjects.

We will be incorporating lots of activities through which students will learn essential skills and concepts tested on ACT for Algebra II and real world concepts for Financial Literacy. In addition to the supplies listed below, every student will receive Eureka Math modules (Algebra II) to be brought home and back to school daily. The modules contain all important information/practice problems relating to the lessons being taught. Financial Literacy students will be given a workbook with notes to be completed during the lessons. These workbooks are to be brought home and back to school daily.

This year I will incorporate Google Classroom with our district provided Chromebooks. Google Classroom is a tool that allows me to post anouncements and reminders for students. Is also allows for class assignments and submissions to be posted and collected digitally.

To access Google Classroom please have students accept the invitation I have sent for them to join their class. It is important that each student joins the class they are taking to receive important information and assignments.
