Last Name Letters A-D

My name is Mrs. Amanda M. Bourgeois and I am the counselor responsible for students whose last names begin with the letter A through D.  Although this is my 1st full year at Destrehan High School, I have been in this profession for 16 years. I am a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Secondary Education in the subject of Social Studies. I also completed my graduate studies at Southeastern Louisiana University earning a Master of Education in Counseling. In addition to my degrees, I furthered my professional growth by becoming a National Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. 

I am looking forward to working with all of my students this year.  I am very excited to assist these wildcats by helping them make plans for their futures.  A big part of my job is to assist students with starting the career decision-making process, making post-secondary plans, and navigating through personal/social issues.
