• End of Year Update

    Hello Student and Families,

As we come to a close for our last week of digital learning I wanted to share plans for next week (May 18 - May 22) and possible resources for the summer.  Next week we will not have any mandatory classwide assignments however I will be asking for specific assignments from certain students in order to collect documentation and give them every opportunity to show progress towards mastery.  I do recommend that next week as well as this summer students stay active in both Lexia and Zearn.  These two resources will be available to your child all summer.

It has been a joy to get to know your child in this short amount of time.  Know that they have taught me so much and will forever hold a special place in my heart.  I truly appreciate every second you have spent being a partner in education with me during this time.   I know this whole school year has been an adjustment for both you and your child and I can not thank you enough for your support. Below I have attached a link to a special goodbye video for students.

    Love always, Ms. Jones

    Week of 4/27 Update

    Hello students and families!

Welcome to our very first week of at-home digital learning! I have sent out emails with information and instructions about our Google Classroom, Zearn and Lexia resources.  If you have not received these emails please let me know so we can all get connected.  This time will be used to refresh and practice skills students are familiar with and will be student led, independent work as much as possible.  Our Phase 3 tab on this website is where you can always find more information and our weekly schedule, as well as below I will link a video tutorial of how to access our daily activities.  Working with technology and new resources can be fun but we are all learning how to navigate these activites together through trial and error.  Please feel free to let me know if you are experienceing any issues or questions through email, phone or text.  cjones4@stcharles.k12.la.us  (504) 473-5859

    Week of 4/20 Update

    Hello students and families!

I hope all of you had a fun spring break! I have been learning some new and exciting ways for our class to communicate and complete assignments.  Starting Monday April 27th we will begin a more structured form of digital learning.  Parents, please look for an email sometime this week containing your childs access to our google classroom as well as a some information on what exactly this routine of digital learning will look like in your home.  In the mean time, students can still spend time playing outside, reading and completeing the different assignments under my At Home Learning tab.  I miss my students and our classroom more and more every single day!

    Hello students and families!

I hope you are all enjoying this time at home right now and relaxing with your families.  Here on my website, I will be keeping an updated list of different resources and activites for students to access at their own pace. I have started our very own Google Classroom that I will fill with personalized and interactive activites, so please check in every few days.  Please feel free to continue to read at home, play outside, and learn important life skills as this is a time for learning and bonding opportunites outside of the classroom! Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. We are all in this together, and I know our Mudbugs will come out of this experience stronger and smarter than ever!
