Dear Mimosa Park Pelican Families,
It seems like just recently we were in August welcoming our students to another year of learning and growing. Now we are in the month of May and still attending to our core business of teaching and learning as we prepare to close out this very productive school year! Please join me in celebrating the successes and accomplishments your children have experienced this year and throughout the remaining 18 days of school. As a special tribute, we will celebrate students during “Student Appreciation Week” from May 15th through May 19th.
We will also be recognizing all the hard work and dedication our teachers have put into making this year one of the BEST years yet. They have been phenomenal in creating a learning environment that fosters learning, regardless of the speed bumps we have encountered as we have transitioned to some form of normalcy and they have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of all students, no matter how big or small. We will be celebrating all they do for our students during “Teacher Appreciation Week” from May 1st through May 5th.
We are thankful for grant funding from our Partner in Education, Entergy Waterford 3, that supported a number of educational services and student-supported initiatives. We are also thankful for the successful fundraisers sponsored by our PTO throughout the year which made many events and celebrations possible. Our deepest gratitude goes out to you, the parents/guardians of our students, for your partnership with our teachers in fostering the academic and social/emotional development of your child during the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you for your unwavering support as we strived to make this year as ‘normal’ as possible for all stakeholders!
Working together, we truly exemplified our theme of “We all BEE-Long at MPE!” We will finish strong and we look forward to another phenomenal year as we move into the 2023-2024 school year!
I truly appreciate all of your support of MPE! Have a safe and happy summer!
Angi Butler,
Principal
