Mrs. Lauren LeJeune
Hey Y’all!
I am so excited to welcome everyone to the 2022-2023 school year!
This is my fifth year teaching and my third year at Destrehan High School. I’m no stranger to St. Charles Parish Public Schools, I graduated from Hahnville High School in 2013 before attending Nicholls State University. I studied Culinary Arts at the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute where my focus was on Advanced Front of House Service. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2018 and began teaching ProStart/Culinary Arts in the Fall.
I’m so happy to be in the Wildcat Kitchen this year sharing a love for Culinary Arts with our students. Our focus this year will be on teaching employability skills through culinary arts and attaining life skills. In Vocational Food Service students will build on basic skills such as staying safe in the kitchen, recipe reading and following directions, measuring and basic cooking techniques, and applying employability skills.
Updates for our class, files, forms, and any information that needs to be given out to everyone can be found in our Google Classroom. Students will have work in Classroom for the days that they are not physically on campus but no work will be due that day.
If you need to reach me, I can be reached at (985) 764-9946 or by email, llejeune@stcharles.k12.la.us.
