• Hello and welcome, sophomores!

I’m so excited about the 2023-2024 school year! This is my third year here at Hahnville High School, and my second year teaching English II. I’m looking forward to diving into literature and learning with my students!

I am a graduate of Central Lafourche High School, as well as Nicholls State University. I graduated from Nicholls State University with a BS in Secondary Education with a concentration in English, and am currently attending the University of New Orleans for my MA in English. English, learning, and teaching are my passions, and I am confident that my passions will have a positive impact on all of the students in my classroom.

This year, we will be utilizing Google Classroom with school-provided Chromebooks. Google Classroom allows the teacher (me) to post assignments and announcements to the class, and allows students to turn in assignments digitally. To access Google Classroom, please use the following link: https://classroom.google.com/.

Please have your child log into their Google account, and from there you will be able to review class announcements, assignments, and course information.

If you or your child have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at aadams1@stcharles.k12.la.us

    See you soon!

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Ali Adams

    English Teacher

    Hahnville High School

    Supplies Needed:

    1. Binder (1 in)
    2. Highlighters: yellow, purple, orange, blue, green
    3. Sticky notes: yellow, purple, orange, blue, green
    4. Pens/Pencils
    5. 1 Composition Notebook

***Please note the colors for sticky notes and highlighters and ONLY get those colors. We will be color coding our annotations for each novel that we are reading, and deviations will cause confusion for your child.
