• LEAP 2025

     

    As part of the Louisiana Department of Education requirements for graduation, students must pass three LEAP 2025 in the following subjects:

     

    -English I OR English II

    -Algebra I OR Geometry

    -Biology OR US History

     

    Testing occurs at the end of each semester (December and April/May). All students completing one of the above listed courses in a given semester will take the LEAP 2025 assessment. This includes students who are taking a class for credit that they previously failed. If a student passes the course, but not the test, he/she will be added to the retest list. 

     

    Passing LEAP 2025 is defined as scoring Approaching Basic, Basic, Mastery, or Advanced. If a student scores Unsatisfactory, they will have additional opportunities to re-take the test during subsequent testing windows. In addition to the fall and spring windows, students will also have the opportunity to register for the summer test session. Summer remediation is also available if the student chooses to attend.

     

    The LEAP 2025 test score will also count as 20% of the final grade for the course. The score ranges and achievement levels are as follows:
