Welcome!

My name is Shelly Fontenot!  I am in my first year of teaching within the St.Charles Parish Public Schools System with 15 total years of experience. I will be working with the Special Education Department and assisting with Girls Basketball.  I am looking forward to creating an environment conducive to learning, building a culture of excellence, and nurturing the whole student/athlete. 

I received my bachelors degree in Health and Human Performance with a minor in General Science from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA.  I started my tenure as an educator in St. Mary Parish where I performed various roles in the classroom setting and coached sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track and Field.

I look forward to working with the students of Hahnville High School in the capacities that best serve each individual that I work with. I am eager to help students and athletes become better people, better thinkers, better players, and overall better people!
