Principal's Message

  • Welcome to Norco Elementary School's website!

The school is located in Norco, Louisiana, in a small community on the western end of the east bank of St. Charles Parish. It is near the Bonne' Carre Spillway, nestled among oak and pine trees at the end of Fifth Street. It is truly a community school located in the heart of an industrial town.

The school was originally established in 1929 and was located on Apple Street. The current site was built in 1961 due to increased enrollment, and three new wings have been added since then. An additional wing was completed the Spring of 2015.  Our school services kindergarten through fifth grade, including a four-year-old class and a non-categorical preschool class.

Our school motto is: "Where Lifelong Learners Excel." We implement the best practices to ensure that our students are meeting the rigorous standards. The Mission of Norco Elementary School is to create a safe, loving environment in which there are high levels of learning. Our business is teaching and learning along with caring for and developing every child, every day.

It is my hope that this website serves as an informational tool to help you to become more familiar with the environment of Norco Elementary School.  We encourage and invite all of our stakeholders, parents,  business leaders, and community members, to become active partners of Norco Elementary School.

We would like to sincerely thank Shell Norco, the Parent Teacher Organization, our parents, and the community for their continuous support.

    Sincerely,

    Shannon Diodene
    Principal
