• Principal’s Message

I am so thrilled at the opportunity to get to know all of you this year and engage in the educational process together.  All signs point to an incredible and productive school year.  Our skilled and devoted staff is already planning and preparing for what will be an outstanding 2018-2019 school year.  I look forward to working with each of you to ensure that Hahnville High is truly a place where you can experience tradition and expect success.  I am fully committed to our faculty, staff, student body, families, community, and the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.  We are indeed a joyous and caring community with the common goals of nurturing responsible, caring students and promoting high-level learning.

This year, our theme will be “Raising the bar……Together.”  As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our children reach their potential.  We believe that all of us – the school and the community – must work together in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students.  We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible.  With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at Hahnville High.  Whether you are a volunteer, a member of the PTO, special event participation, or member of one of our school communities, you are encouraged to be involved!  Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.

Please join us in supporting your child to accomplish greatness by providing a supportive learning environment at home.  Together, we will fulfill our mission of providing a positive and motivating learning environment that enables all students to learn at high levels, achieve meaningful goals, and become enthusiastic lifelong learners with the skills needed to thrive in college, the workforce, and beyond.

If you have a concern which may impact your child's success or if you have a question, please communicate with your child's teacher, counselor, administrator, or me.  All faculty and staff members have their own website located at www.stcharles.k12.la.us/hahnville and their email link can be accessed there. You also will find useful information, school accomplishments, and important event dates on our school website.
