Community Education

Due to the impacts of Hurricane Ida, SCPPS is unable to accept registrations for the Fall 2021 semester or start on the scheduled date of September 13, 2021 due to lack of power. Therefore, Fall 2021 is cancelled.  SCPPS hopes to offer classes in the spring of 2022. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

Thank you for visiting the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Community Education Department web page! We are pleased to announce our return to face-to-face classes this fall. Please click on the Fall 2021 brochure link at the bottom of this page and check out the impressive variety of classes, some new as well as some tried and true ones. A copy of the Fall 2021 brochure may also be picked at the St. Charles or St. John Parish libraries, St. Charles Parish School Board Office and various business locations in and around the parish.

Registration begins August 9 and will run through September 10. Classes begin September 13. A registration form may be obtained by clicking on the link below.  Please print and complete a separate registration form for each person registering for classes. However, payment for multiple registrations in the household does not have to be separate and may be combined in one payment if you wish. Please note that tuition must accompany registrations, but payments will not be processed until your class is confirmed to be held.

There will be no on-line registration this semester. The registration form(s) along with tuition payment by check, money order, or credit card may be mailed to: Community Education Department, St. Charles Parish Public Schools, 13855 River Road, Luling, LA 70070, or placed in a sealed envelope marked Attention Community Education and dropped off at the School Board Office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or deposited in the secure after-hours drop box located at the School Board Office entrance on the left side. Credit Card payments may also be emailed to or faxed to:  985-785-3146. Cash payments should only be dropped off at the School Board Office or deposited in the drop box and always placed in a sealed envelope marked Attention: Community Education.

Why not sign up with a friend or two and get creative, learn a new language or get into shape! If you have questions or need further information, please email or call 985.785.7268 and leave a message. We will get back to you as quickly as possible.
