Every year, we welcome more than 180 juniors and seniors from Destrehan and Hahnville High School seeking a "different" learning experience. In our unique environment, you will be part of an collaborative learning experience that is second to none.

Once you see what we have to offer, you will understand why the St. Charles Parish Public School System is recognized as a leader in the field of education and the role that the Satellite Center plays in this recognition.

    With 10 individual courses offered at our site, the Satellite Center is an impressive display of what the St. Charles Parish youth can accomplish when given the chance. Team members can pick courses from the areas of Applied Science & Technology, Education & Human Development, Health Science, Hospitality & Tourism, or Technology & Communication.

    Come See Us For Yourself

    Nothing beats a visit to the Satellite Center! Only on a visit can you experience a course in action and learn more about the skills required to Build A Better You. Every high school freshman in St. Charles Parish will visit the Satellite Center as a field trip during the Journey to Careers class. In addition, you are welcome to set up an individual class audit of a course you are interested in seeing in more detail (this is set up through your School to Career Office) during your sophomore year.

    In addition, the Satellite Center holds it's annual Satellite Center Open House in late January or early February. During this event all community members, future team members and any other interested parties are invited to explore the Satellite Center, talk to present and past team members, and see the wonderful projects team members have completed in their courses.
