Welcome to Mimosa Park Elementary School

  • Mimosa Park Elementary School, home of the Pelicans, serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through second grade. Led by Principal Barbara Kenney, the school is home to more than 600 students and 70 employees. Our school offers an education for all students providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential by participating in numerous academic programs and the arts.   • October 22-23: Fall Report Card Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23. Be sure to schedule your appointment with your child's teacher. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 on these days.

  • October 26-October 30: Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated the week of October 26-30, 2020:

    Monday: EMPATHY - Students may wear sunglasses and/or a hat.

    Tuesday: DETERMINATION - Students may wear a RED shirt with uniform bottoms.

    Wednesday: PERSEVERANCE - Students come dressed as their future career choice.

    Thursday: TEAMWORK - Students may wear team jerseys with their uniform bottoms.

    Friday: RESPECT - Students may wear costumes.

  • On October 29, students may come to school dress in a costume for our Spooky Day celebration. Costumes must adhere to the dress code.

  • The Calendar for 2020-2021 school year is currently being updated. Events posted on the School and District Calendar are tentative. Final decisions will be determined by the District in accordance with guidance from health and government officials while keeping the health and safety of our students and employees as top priorities.
