HRT Back on the Road
HRT is back on the road… after two long years of pandemic related travel restriction, we have been cleared for takeoff to explore our future careers with our business and industry partners! For our first field experiences, the HRT team members visited the most visited tourist attraction in St. Charles Parish, Destrehan Plantation and the iconic dome dominating the skyline of the city of New Orleans, the Caesars Superdome.
Team members explored future careers in the hospitality and tourism industry at both of these venues. We spoke to professionals about event planning, leading tour groups, and the importance of utilizing our guiding principles in the workplace, excellence, integrity, respect, and responsibility. The highlight of the Destrehan Plantation was the beautiful wedding venue, called the mule barn, which won awards in a popular TCL reality series about weddings and the new on field suites at the revamped Caesars Superdome.
Team members will be visiting the Louis Armstrong International Airport and the Ernest Morial Convention Center. These venues are vital to the economic recovery of New Orleans post-pandemic. We are also keeping our fingers crossed to attend a behind the scenes tour of a New Orleans Pelican game and eco-tour of the LaBranche' wetlands.
