School System Raises Six-Figures for United Way

An overview of the school system’s 2020 United Way campaign was presented to the School Board at its January meeting. United Way of St. Charles Director of Community Impact Kacy Kernan was in attendance to thank and congratulate the school system for the campaign that raised a total of $106,817.04 for the citizens of St. Charles Parish.

Sixty-five percent of employees participated in the 2020 campaign. The school system has a long-standing relationship with United Way of St. Charles. School system employees serve on many United Way committees, and several member agencies directly provide services for students.

Thanks to all who contributed to the campaign, including parents and students who participated in several special events such as jean days and penny wars.
