Have a Safe and Happy Summer!

May 24, 2021

I am beyond proud to be able to say that we have successfully completed this unprecedented school year! Looking back to August of 2020, we were unsure of what the year would bring as we entered uncharted waters, operating schools amidst a global pandemic. This past year has been nothing short of amazing. We managed to keep our schools open, busses running, and students engaged in learning and extracurricular opportunities as best we could considering the circumstances. We have all pulled together during the last 10 months to make the most of the situation while keeping the health and safety of our students and employees as top priorities. This would not have been possible without the support of our employees, parents, students, and entire community. Have a Safe and Happy summer

We have already begun planning for next school year and will once again publish a guide to provide families with information pertaining to school operations for the 2021-2022 school year. We anticipate distributing this guide no later than the middle of July as we are awaiting updated guidance from the Louisiana Department of Education, BESE, and the Louisiana Department of Health.

Please watch for additional communication during the summer as we prepare for a “stronger start” to the 2021-2022 school year. Information will be sent directly to families via email, website postings, and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We previously released the 2021-2022 school times through email, and they may also be found on the district’s website at: https://www.stcharles.k12.la.us/domain/534.

Thank you for your unwavering support throughout this school year. I cannot say thank you enough for your continued support. I wish you and your family a safe and happy summer!
