- Second reading and adoption of revisions to Board Policy and Procedure 5.4.1 – Selection and Adoption of Textbooks and Instructional Materials.
- Receipt of recommended instructional materials for Health 9-12 at an approximate cost of $41,761.92.
- Receipt of recommended instructional materials for Law Studies at an approximate cost of $7,660.
- Receipt of recommended instructional materials for Speech at an approximate cost of $18,431.43.
- Receipt of recommended instructional materials for AP English III at an approximate cost of $15,939.84.

- Lowest bids submitted from Associated Food Equipment and Supplies and Hotel Restaurant Supply for large kitchen equipment at an approximate cost of $500,000.
- Recommended proposals to process USDA commodities at a cost of $361,000.
- Accounts payable for April 2023 totaling $12,209,706.
- Revised General Fund ($187,835,200), Special Revenue Funds ($37,970,600), Debt Service Funds ($7,807,600), Capital Projects Funds ($23,194,000), and Lunch Fund ($7,409,200) budgets.
Recognition
- Tracy Engel, a Hahnville High School student, placed first in the Regional Science Fair Competition.
- Amelie Fuselier, a Lakewood Elementary School student, placed first in the State Social Studies Fair Competition.
- Destrehan High School Wildcat Robotics Team 3039 won the FIRST Robotics Magnolia Regional Competition and the World Championships Newton Division Team Spirit Award. The team was named semi-finalists in the World Championships Newton Division Competition, ranking fourth in the division.
- Four school system students were named to an LHSAA All-Academic Composite Team.
- Thirteen school system students were named to the All-District Tennis First Team.
- Two Hahnville High School students are Regional Tennis Doubles Champions.
- Hahnville High School Boys Tennis Team is the District and Regional Champion.
- Hahnville High School Girls Tennis Team is the District Champion.
- Marley Richard, a Destrehan High School student, is the State Long Jump Track & Field Champion.
- Three school system students are Individual Regional Track & Field Champions.
- Twelve school system students are Individual District Track & Field Champions.
- Destrehan High School Boys Track Team is the District Champion.
- Eleven school system students were named to the All-District Softball First Team.
- Todd Schulz, a Hahnville High School employee, was named District Softball Coach of the Year.
- Hahnville High School Softball Team is the District Champion.
- Nine school system students were named to the All-District Baseball First Team.
- Destrehan High School Baseball Team is the District Champion.
Superintendent’s Report
- Hahnville High School’s Graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, and Destrehan High School’s Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
- Students in third through eighth grades will take the LEAP 2025 between May 5-12.
- High school students enrolled in LEAP courses will take the LEAP assessments between May 15-17.
- The school system has incurred a total of $50,897,567 in Hurricane Ida recovery expenses.
- May 22-24 will be early dismissal days for all students. The last day of school is Wednesday, May 24.
- Schools and the School Board Office will begin a four-day work schedule from May 30 until July 17.
