Makerspace

Makerspace is a place where students have an opportunity to explore their own interests: learn to use tools and materials, both physical and virtual; and develop creative projects. The materials are located in the library and are utilized during recess time. Materials include legos, magnetic tiles, 3D wooden blocks, foam building blocks, Keva Brain Buiders, Keva Structures, and IQ Builder – Educational Toy Building Sets. We have also begun integrating technology into our materials. We currently have a Makey Makey, Code&Go Robot Mouse Activity Set, and a Mini Sphero. New materials will be added throughout the year.

We would like thank our Partner in Business, Otto Candies for their continuous support and promotion of the Engineering and Scientific process. In addition, we would also like to thank the St. Charles Public Foundation, Title I, and Title IV for making it possible to integrate technology into our Makerspaces.
